Event Description: UC Irvine's Korea Law Center will host a forum where invited speakers and the audience will come together to remember Saigu, regarded as a watershed moment for many Korean Americans. The goal of the forum is to better understand the LA Riots of 1992 and to facilitate dialogue between different groups and generations. We will hear from speakers about the legal, economic, cultural, and political structures which explain the changes that followed. Participants will have the opportunity to engage, share, and assess how far we have come in the twenty-five years since April 1992.
